As part of the ongoing preparations for the implementation of Saudi Arabia's Project for Utilization of Hajj Meat (ADAHI) during the 2017Hajj season, Dr. Bandar Hajjar , President of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB), will meet Thursday 20 July 2017, with officials in charge of Hajj affairs at embassies and consulates in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The meeting, to be held at the IDB Headquarters in Jeddah, will touch on the objectives of the Project and discuss the ongoing arrangements for the 2017 Hajj season. In addition, the project will also announce the launching of the "Electronic Path" managed by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj, which will allow Umra visitors and pilgrims to utilize the services provided by Adahi through that Path.
The Project aims at serving the pilgrims by providing livestock that meet all Shari'a and health requirements and by ensuring the cleanliness of the environment around the Holy Sites.
The Project helps to make the meat available to its rightful beneficiaries among the poor at the Holy Mosque and Holy Sites as well as beneficiaries in many Muslim countries and Muslim communities all over the world. The Islamic Development Bank manages it since 1983, in cooperation with the relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia.
