Distribution of 5,000 carcasses of Adahi and Hadi meat to beneficiaries in Niger and Burkina Fasso

The 1436 (2015) plan of the KSA project for the use of Adahi and Hadi meat, a project run by the IDB, provides for distributing a total of 850,000 carcasses inside and outside the Kingdom, including 450,000 to be given to the poor of the Haram, 270,000 to Saudi charity organisations. The remainder of 200,000 frozen carcasses are being shipped to the most needy provinces in Yemen, in coordination and cooperation with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre. The plan also provides for distributing more than 200,000 frozen carcasses in 23 countries in Asia and Africa. Shipments are made by air, land and sea.

A cargo of 2,500 frozen carcasses arrived Niamey, republic of Niger, for distribution to beneficiaries there. Another cargo of 2,500 frozen carcasses arrived at Ouagadougou, republic of Burkina Faso, for distribution to beneficiaries there. Both cargoes were received in Niger and Burkina Faso by government officials respectively and IDB representatives who had arrived earlier in the cities to oversee the distribution.

On this occasion, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ali, President of the Islamic Development Bank Group, and on behalf of the Committee for the use ofHadi and Adahi meat, expressed thanks and appreciation to the custodian of the two holy mosques, the crown prince and the Saudi government for their relentless support to this great project, which benefited millions of beneficiaries around the world and made it possible to achieve the objectives behind this great ritual.
