The continuing operations under the KSA project for the use of Adahi and Hadi meat, a project run by the IDB, includes the distribution by land, sea and air of about 195 000 frozen carcasses of sacrificial meat to beneficiaries in 23 countries in Asia and Africa.

 

Two refrigerated trucks carrying 5,000 frozen carcasses of sacrificial meat arrived at Baku, Azerbaijan, a land locked country. The shipment, which was fully distributed to beneficiaries in there, arrived through neighbouring Georgia and was received in the city by Azeri government officials, representatives of the Saudi Embassy in Baku and an IDB representative who had arrived earlier in the city to oversee the distribution.

Earlier a plane carrying 5,000 frozen carcasses of sacrificial meat arrived at the airport of  Ndjamena, for distribution to beneficiaries in Chad. The cargo was received at the airport by Chadian government officials, representatives of the Saudi Embassy in Ndjamena and an IDB representative who had arrived earlier in the city to oversee the distribution.

 a ship carrying 3,000 frozen carcasses of sacrificial meat arrived at the port of Nacala, Republic of Mozambique. The shipment, which was distributed to beneficiaries there, was received at the port by Mozambican government officials and an IDB representative who had arrived earlier in the city to oversee the distribution.

​The distribution of sacrificial meat to beneficiaries continues in the Kingdom in accordance with the approved plan for the 1437 (2016) Hajj Season, which provides for distributing 518.234 carcasses to beneficiaries among the poor of the Haram and about 270 Saudi charity associations in various parts of the Kingdom.

 On this occasion, on behalf of the Committee for the use of sacrificial meat, Dr. Bandar Mohamad Hajjar, President of the Islamic Development Bank Group, expressed thanks and appreciation to the custodian of the two holy mosques, the Crown Prince, deputy Crown Prince and the Saudi government for their generous support to this great project, which benefits millions around the world from sacrificial meat, in application of the objectives behind this great ritual.
