A shipment of 3000 frozen carcasses of Adahi meat arrived on Thursday 27 Rabii II (27 February 2014), to the port of Maputo in the Republic of Mozambique for distribution to beneficiaries there. The cargo was received at the port by a government delegation and an IDB representative who arrived in Maputo to oversee the distribution of part of the meat to beneficiaries in the capital and the rest in Nacala region of Mozambique.
This comes in accordance with the approved distribution plan for 1434H, which includes the distribution of about 770 000 carcasses of Adahi meat, including the dstribution by land and sea of about 200 000 frozen carcass in 23 countries in Asia and Africa. In the meantime, the distribution of Adahi meat to the poor inside the kingdom is continuing in accordance with the same approved distribution plan, which includes the distribution of about 570000 carcass to the poor of the Haram and to 270 charities across the Kingdom.
On this occasion, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ali, President of the Islamic Development Bank Group, and on behalf of the Committee for the utilization of hadi and adahi meat, delivered a statement in which he expressed gratitude to the custodian of the two holy mosques, the crown prince and the Saudi government for their relentless support to this noble project, which benefited millions of beneficiaries around the world and made it possible to achieve the objectives behind this great ritual.
