Within the framework of Saudi Project for Utilization of Hajj Meat, which is managed by the Islamic Development Bank, and in cooperation and coordination with King Salman Centre for Relief and Humanitarian Aids, it is decided that 200,000 frozen adahi meat to the worthy recipients in affected areas in Yemen in from the Adahi plan for Hajj season of year 1436H. This meat will be shipped in ten shipments in coordination with King Salman Centre. Up to date, the first shipment was sent on road in frozen containers carrying 20,000 slaughtered animals.
Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President of the IDB has stated that these meat shipments will be sent regularly for distribution in around ten provinces because of the deteriorating humanitarian situation and the impact of cyclone chapala (affected recently some coastal areas) in Yemen. As a result of these humanitarian situations, thousands of Yemeni families are displaced.

Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, Chairman of the IDB Group avails himself of this occasion to express his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, his Crown Prince, Deputy Crown Prince and the esteemed Saudi government for the generous support given to this Project as millions of poor people around the world are benefiting from adahi meat in realization of the wisdom and objective behind this religious practice. 23 countries are benefiting from this project.
During the last Hajj season, a total hajj meat of 840,000 was distributed to the poor communities around Haram area through many charitable organizations inside the Kingdom. The remaining meat will be distributed to the needy communities in 23 member countries.
